[Hornets Nest]

Having read Pugwash player profiles for Wayne McHugh and it said he played for the "old club" are we not one club?

Stanky or Wynny any thoughts?

The player profile to which you refer was not written by me but by someone at the club and it was sent in an email to members. I'm pretty sure there was no intention to start a battle and just to put the time he spent in some sort of chronological order.

As per my comments on the edit in the other thread - JS informs me that he didnt write that and that he has no interest in making reference to different clubs/regimes

Would be interesting to know who at the club did write the comments as whoever this is is still clearly intent in ensuring that the divide between the two still exists

Funny how you never see old club/new club made reference to on Widnes, Keighley, Donny, Whitehaven etc.....s sites

There wasn't really a break with the "old" clubs though Snoopy when these "new" clubs came into being. Same directors and same corporate structure. The examples given above are, to the best of my knowledge, still Privately run Limited companies.

Whitehaven went from "Whitehaven Rugby League Football Club Ltd" to "Whitehaven Rugby League Football Club (2010) Ltd" with exactley the same directors.
Contrast that to what happened at Hornets, different directors and a not only a different company but a different corporate structure. The line between before and after is stark, much more so than in the examples you give above.

For my two penn'rth, I'm pretty sure that no offence was intended and see it as very innocent remark which refers to Mark's time at the club as before the club went into administration. If what was written has caused anyone offence then I think you're a little too sensitive.
