Matchday Programme.

If you're going on holiday or out for a weekend break to somewhere interseting go in your Hornets shirt and send us a picture and we'll start putting some in the programme to see how many different places we can get the shirt. We are also having a section where young fans, or young at heart Peter, can get their birthday remembered in the programme. Like-wise, if anyone has any old photographs of Hornets, portraits or action, could you scan them and let me have an electronic copy and we'll put those in the programme. My brother has a mint condition postcard with the 1921-22 Northern Union Cup Winning team on so I'll get that scanned and will try to use it in a special for the Challenge Cup tie with Castleford on May 8th.
So from April 10th we're aiming for a High-calorie, full-fat, caffeineated effort that will be better value.
Send anything for inclusion to andy.pugwash@live.co.uk Let's see if we can make our programme the best in the country!

Put a memebership form in it.
And a lottery form.
Way ahead of you PD, there will be a membership page and for the first few editions we will be putting Buzzline forms inside so you don't have to spoil your programme. My idea is to make the programme more of a read instead of just some information about that particular match.
We will be starting a history page which will be taking us right from the start in the Roebuck Hotel back up to the present day. I am hoping to start a weekly rugby league news page which will be called T.W.I.R.L., or this week in rugby league and before anyone accuses me of stealing the idea off baseball's T.W.I.B. Notes, yes I did! I will be attempting to give a round-up of the previous weeks games and some ######-bits of information that may not be common knowledge etc, etc.
We are aiming to have a piece about the next away game with directionss and also advertise Wendy's coach trip if she would like that?
We just have to see how many more pages we can have before it puts up the cost!

I can send you a picture of me in a Hornets shirt at Henson Park, North Sydney Oval, Leichhardt Oval... All very exotic places!
Great Henson, get a few of your buddies in as well!
Jim came back all sorry that he'd missed Whitehaven, I told him Parramatta's got nowt that Whitehaven hasn't got and they've got folk who glow in the dark and have a half-life of 25,000 years.

A fixture list would be good. re the cas game instead of trying to get more money out of the cas fans why not split the golden gamble one for cas fans and one for hornets fans ensuring a cas winner and a hornet winner if this is possible to administrate.
The first thing to go in the new version will be the fixture list. It's just that the programme was put together quickly and it was always going to evolve and grow as we got more time and ideas.
The Golden Gamble idea has merit but it might be a nightmare to get sorted. I will have a word with Louise though and see what she thinks.
My idea for the Challenge Cup game programme is to have a 'Special' Bumper Edition with our only win to date as the theme. I've had a chat with a printer today and when he gets back with some costings we'll see what we can do in the future.
