Coventry and Valley Cougars could well surprise a few people.
Bramley to just scrape in the top 6.
Wizards to finish top of pile.

Anyone going to take me on this year?

I tend to agree except I'll take no opinion on Bramley as I've heard too many contradictory reports. All sides should be in with a chance of making the playoffs as the new clubs will be strong and all the others have made the playoffs in the last 2 seasons. Warrington Wizards are the favourites but it's a strong lineup this year now the weaklink won't be in

I agree, think every team is capable of beating everyone. It's going to be competitive and that's what we want. Nottingham and Hemel are strong at home.

I know Coventry will be strong and I think dewsbury Celtic will be strong this year too. Wizards for me though.

Get all 3 of them in Championship 1, all strong enough and would certainly hold their own.

Whats going to happen with the likes of Bramley, Warrington, Fev, Kippax etc. when the NCL goes to summer, and becomes the third tier of the new structure.

Where and what league will these teams go into.

They're talking about putting them in the Southern Conference, though can't say I'm convinced it will work.

They sent something out to the NCL clubs saying the RLCN will be the Southern Conference and the National Conference League will be the Northern Conference.

Especially note the attachment in post #54 but also the comments by del capo

Can't say I'm surprised at the lack of communication from this side of things, though guess there's too many uncertainties to know exactly what will happen (e.g. who steps up to Championship 1, who joins the Northern Conference, who can't run without their NCL players, who wants to step up from lower divisions, who switches from winter)

So what geographical areas is this southern conference going to cover?

So what geographical areas is this southern conference going to cover?

For the first 3 years think pretty much anywhere. Though I don't know if new northern clubs can join or if it's just an exemption for existing northern clubs in the RLCN (or perhaps RLC?).

After that it should be just midlands and south (and Wales?) clubs, but they're also considering merging it with the northern conference then. The same minimum criteria will apply to the north and south conferences after 3 years and they hope to have 80 tier 3 clubs by then (presumably the lower divisions would be split geographically).

Southern is an inappropriate name really and I suspect they have a structure in mind they want to work towards over 3 years, hence why all the exemptions last that long (also promotion and relegation between the Championship divisions is only guaranteed for 3 years and there's a possibility of promotion and relegation between Championship 1 and the conferences after 3 years!)
