Last season's champions Capelle Spartans and Musketiers Nootdorp once again lead the way for their
third season whilst Den Haag Knights have re grouped after the loss of their Samoan players to enter under the name Te Werve Bustards.
Gouda Bearcats who where the suprise package of GPN II seem to have withdrawn as no representative attended the meeting but the NRLB hope they could still make a late appearence.
A new team was accepted as members of the Dutch Rugby League and Delft Rugby already report over 20 players in training as they look to make an impact in their first season.
With Nootdorp,Ter Werve and Delft all within 15 minutes of each other the Den Haag region is becoming the hotbed of the game in the Netherlands.
Once again the GPN's will run in a nine a side format with each club hosting all teams in a festival event.
This format has proved succesful in establishing a small League following and the NRLB will be looking for more registered players before expanding to a full 13 a side competition.
Every saturday evening in May teams will play three round robin games each giving a 12 game season.
Saturday June 4th will then see a Grand Finals day where teams will battle it out for the title of GPN III Champions.
A competition sponsor has been secured and will be announced soon and a new website will be online before kick off.
Further proof that the game is still alive and kicking in Holland was the attendance of two NRLB members at the RLEF coaching course last week in London.
Jason Bruygoms and Dave van Zeijst will now organise in house coaching clinics to get more people qualified and the same two guys will return to England in May to attend the RLEF officials course.
Plans are also being drawn up to play two full 13 a side games after the GPN series to select a squad of players for at least two friendly internationals in the summer.
