WELCOME

to NRL ROUND 5

Posted Image

Why not get yourself involved in the top level of the game and join in the fun of this comp.
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter whether you've entered previously or not.

ROUND 5 QUESTIONS:

*Poll Competition:
In Round 4 there were four close games where the game was decided by one or two points. Can we spot the likelihood of such results this week in R5?
Poll Question:
Which game will produce the closest result (the narrowest margin of victory)?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put it in your posting. (The poll is anonymous so we can't give you credit unless it is in your predictions post)
...And now the main event of the week:
*Match Tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 5 2011
*Points Competition

How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R5?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.
*HOME Win Competition:
How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R5 2011?
In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Round 5 Fixtures
Friday 8th April 2011

North Queensland Cowboys v Gold Coast Titans
Wests Tigers v South Sydney Rabbitohs
Saturday 9th April 2011
New Zealand Warriors v Sydney Roosters
Penrith Panthers v Canberra Raiders
Cronulla Sharks v Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
Sunday 10th April 2011
Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels

St George-Illawarra Dragons v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Monday 11th April 2011
Brisbane Broncos v Newcastle Knights

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which will be pinned to the top of the forum topic list page.

So ... there's your challenge for this week. Are you ready to take up the gauntlet? The best of luck to everyone

If I were a Rabbitohs fan I'd be upset and disappointed. They are underperforming and lacking in drive and direction. Greg Inglis was MIA again!
Here was a Tigers team that was supposed to be hit by injury that was everything that Rabbitohs should have been.

Another disappointment for me this week with my winning tip being overturned in the last minute. Last week it was Orford's lot. This week the Sharks couldn't hold on.

A most gut wrenching loss for the Sharks - They clocked off too soon.

No my inference was that following on from my comments on the Rabbitohs less than convincing performance there were parallels with the Raiders.
I'd be disappointed if I was a Raiders fan in that they similarly underperformed, lacked direction and drive (confidence?), and have a key signing (M.O.) not producing the goods.
The three dots were supposed to convey all that! Surprisingly it seems they didn't ... ... ... Posted Image
