Swinton 38 points - London Skolars 30 after Lions led 34 - 18 at half-time!!!! Just shows there are no easy games in this league.
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Yes Keith they played some great stuff today and i think they will move onwards and upwards very soon. Both halfbacks and the fullback were outstanding. They are at Oldham next weekend.

I think after the 1st half they put in last week our coaches will be reminding them anyway, hopefully by beasting them in training. And a timely reminder to our lads at Gateshead next week, Riggy, if a reminder was necessary!!!

I think it's unfair to compare skolars to Gateshead. skolars have been improving over the last year or so, and will soon be difficult to beat on there own patch. Let's not get carried away though. Haven still won quite comfortably down there and I'm sure town should be aiming for 12 points off skolars and thunder

No, sadly we didn't, a few good forwards were missing but thats all. I have to say our defense recently hasnt been as good as when we beat you lot, oldham and rochdale, we struggled a bit with gateshead as well. From the stand I think it can be fair to say we expected them to just lie down, and they didnt! Hopefully lesson learned for when were at their grounds.
But as Riggy said, they looked like a much improved side, as did gateshead, think a few surprises could be in store for teams who make the same mistake we did.
Im only smiling because `no-one`'s found the bodies yet.
