Think that's a joke personally, we gave him his opportunity to get back into rugby league, then for him to turn around and say, " thanks, but no thanks" seems a little offensive. He probably would have played yesterday, had he not buggered off.

Merville scored 2 tries today for Rochdale as they become Championship One's new form team, following up a win at Donny by putting 49 past Whitehaven.

Part and parcel of having no reserve side and a squad of 28 ish is the inevitability of some players moving on once it becomes clear they are not part of the first choice 17. Impossible to say what sort of deal was done when Merville joined the Lions, but it has to be said his time with the club was remarkably short.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

Yes well done Hornets! picked up a nice double on Rochdale and Cas today! strongly suspect that the Spotland boys will be our main challengers this season.

Hornets have Keighley at Spotland next Sunday and Skolars are at Oldham
