Is this just open to Midlands clubs?
We played last year (hoping to again this year) so I think it's open to clubs outside the region.

What sort of standard are the teams in the competition?
I'd be keen to try and bring a Montgomeryshire side, but if we'd be out of our depth, I'd rather not subject the lads to a hammering!

It's a mixture of standards and I think they split teams into their ability level after the first couple of group games. I'd say anything from RLC Premier to merit league standard, though it's 9s so less time for hammering. Depends who enters of courseWhat sort of standard are the teams in the competition?

I've taken development sides before now. You'll be absolutely fine.

Definitely go for it pal. The RFL staff in the Midlands are a pretty decent bunch, they're not going to stick you up against Nottingham or Northampton first teams.
These kind of events are the perfect way to introduce new players to the game.

All welcome to attend.
Due to its location, i'm sure that any other North Wales locations might be keen to pop down the road to Shropshireshire so spread the word.
We'll veto any teams who we feel won't be suitable. Thats not happened in the past three years.
