As some on here may know I used to work at the Panther and many of the clientele were from the west of the county. If you or anyone you know is in that position you/they may want to know that owner Keith Jefferson died over the weekend. I know Keith was also a very popular and successful mobile DJ as Keef's Hot Rod Disco, performing at weddings, 18th bithdays etc all over the region. The funeral is in Carlisle on Thursday.
Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done.

All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies.

Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.

I was a huge fan of the Pink Panther when it was round at Rosemary Lane.
Used to go to Carlisle just to get some vinyl from there.
Didnt know the owner personally, just by sight but condolances to his family and friends.

Cheers mate, thought from the amount of Town & Haven shirts I saw in there that someone on here must have been a regular. Keith was a great guy and a fantastic boss, he will be sorely missed

Christ that takes me back, going through to Carlisle on the train to buy decent records as Woolies in Workington only had chart ######. Sad news indeed.
