Someone like Jamal just reinforces that what John [Cartwright] is doing from a coaching perspective, what the team is doing on the football field and what our staff is doing off it, is attractive for players to come here.
ROFLMAO !! I never realised being a cellar dweller was such an 'attraction' for prospective players.

The attraction of going from a top club to a struggling outfit escapes me. Still Beau has to feel happy where he is. Strikes me if he's here a couple of months longer then he will feel a lot more at home.
That's the experience of lots of other players before him.
If his prospects as a player are paramount he'd do well to stay put.

I thought Beau Champion had a very quiet game today. I hope his mind is on his job, not speculation as to his future.

I think it would be a great place to play footy a one team town in a coastal city, I can see why so money players are attracted to the Titans

Freudian slipI think its a bit harsh to start labelling the Titans as a struggiling club, yes this year they have not started well but their overall record while having being in the comp is superb.

Champion's motivation 'appears' to be family ? His cousin lives there ?

Whatever, he's paid by Storm to play for us this season. I want him to deliver on his talent. He's a player with a lot of skill and potential. Given the structures in place at Storm he's benefit as a player by staying with us. Still he's got family urges then that's his decision. His team place will be based on form though.

He's a different kind of player to G.I. & I don't think anyone expects him to fill those shoes. What do you reckon to him as a player from what you've seen of him from the stands?
As a player,(on field) he appears to be settling into the team dynamic. He's starting to gain confidence in what he brings to the team.
Unfortunately like many young indigenous sportspeople family plays a major part in the life / culture,so unless he & his girlfriend can create a stable environment in Melbourne I can't see him staying.

The implication is that he wanted to move to Titans rather than more money elsewhere.

Either that or this is just one side of the story - those coming into the club. One or two there may be looking anxiously towards the exit door.

He's full of praise for the club who he says couldn't have been more helpful and understanding.
The club have recognised the special set of circumstances that brought Champion to Melbourne.
Now his future or lack of it at Storm is clear he has committed to giving 100% to the club in the remainder of 2011.
