Never achieved much in two stays at Town and the same at Blackpool and lately Swinton. He will have to up his work rate if he is going to do anything for Oldham judging from what we saw. Soon made the exit door though when the money dropped after many poor performances.

Really? I cant remember more than 3 or 4 games where I came away thinking he had played well. His kicking game was terrible, his defence barely even there, his creativity was lacking. Not sure who you were watching play.

is he your uncle or something?or is that you Carl? 1st thing is that no player in this division or the 1 above are awesome or they would be playing super league. secondly carl forber was a good goal kicker and that is it.his in game kicking was poor, his creativity was poor and i dont think i ever seen him get dirty because he refused to make a tackle.lets take the rose tints off guys he was a poor player and we will prove that when he comes back up here with oldham at the end of the season

It seems like he is not going to Oldham now. Oldham won't name the player but they were taking a player on loan for a month and he had actually started training with them then his club gave backword on the deal in case they get any injuries in the next month!!! So if that was Forber he's back at Swinton.

He was part of a very good Blackpool team and prior to his first spell at Town he was outstanding for Leigh. You cant really judge his second spell at Town as the team was so poor nobody came out of it with any credit. Forber was not as bad as some people remember and certainly not as good as Scott makes out.

As for the statement that nobody in this or championship one is awesome or they would be playing superleague the fact is that there are plenty of lads who could play superleague but it would leave them worse off than part time rugby and a full time job does, as an example if Graham Mattinson lived anywhere but in Cumbria he would have been a superleague player!

totally agree with all of that, you all must have awesome players yourself if you can slag a player off like that...

So we arent allowed an opinion of a player unless we are better than them? In my opinion we never saw anything from Forber to make me wish we took him back, or to prove himself top quality.

Indeed Shaun Lunt showed it's possible to make the leap from this standard to
super league.

Well I think bebe for man united is a shocking player does that mean I have to be a premier league footballer?? Certainly not so don't be so petty, we voiced our opinions on a player, if were not allowed to do that then what's the point of this forum, it might as we be closed down if that's the case.I can't remember ever hearing a good word said about forber on the terraces and he was quick to jump ship when he was asked to take a pay cut to help the club. I didn't rate the guy when he was here so why should I be two faced and say what a star he is now. I for 1 would have all 4 of our half backs over him anyday, there better players and certainly give 100% for the town. This is the last I will say about him as I would rather discuss TOWN players

Hope to hell he has signed for someone else as I seen him outside Costa in Workington last saturday and had a awful feeling he was up here for other reasons . I for what its worth thought he was tattie ash, more interested in his hair and trying to look good, if he has signed for Oldham great, I would be targeting him all the time, getting Stacky to run at him as he couldnt tackle my old lass, and she has a glass eye and a wooden leg!

Hes not getting slagged off for nowt, hes being slagged off because in my opinion he did the sum total of sod all while with us, and in quite a few games didnt put the effort in which ###### me off. I dont players not being good enough, I hate spending money to see players not trying. He was an old player of ours, it was mentioned on our board he had signed for someone else. Of course someone is allowed to give his opinion of him in a thread like this. I`m not sure why your so wound up about someone given his honest opinion of him.
