What are people making of the new series?

I thought the first episode was pretty poor but there were some good ones last night like the Matrix guy. I was made up as well to see an impressionist I saw a couple of times perform about 10 years ago go down a storm. He really was a top bloke then and I totally nicked his Kevin Webster impression and I've used it as a party piece many a time. I might have been found out but I'm happy for him and hope he gets some real work from this. Anybody who's ever been involved with club land knows its dying and I feel for the people whose livelihoods depends on it.

BGT might be trash TV but the power it has to change people's lives is what makes it so watchable for me.

It's not really my bag, as my cringe-o-meter is quiet easily set off, but the wife always shouts me when someone really talented is on so I did see the Matrix fella. If you're interested in Variety there's a BBC 4 2 parter on the Iplayer where Michael Grade looks at the history and demise of the Variety Theatres. Quiet interesting

There was a 28 year old female singer and keyboard player who had composed a song specifically about the three judges. I thought it was pretty good but she now seems to have disappeared from the show. Any clues?
