Just a reminder to everyone, especially the more delicate skinned amongst us, as well as the follically challenged fans (the baldies!!) to ensure they slather on the sun lotion before coming to Whitebank.
Its a right old sun trap at the ground, and I am ever the optimist that dear old Blighty will be basking in lots more of the fab weather that we saw on Friday. THe position of the ground means that when the sun does shine, its in full sun for most of the day, which is great news for the pitch, but not so good if you burn easily in the sun.
You will almost certainly be protecting the kids when they come with you, but dont forget about YOURSELVES too.
When you are distracted watching the game, its all to easy to miss the signs that you are burning in the sun, so please either wear a cap or load up on the sun block....and keep up your fluids!! Drink plenty of water or fizzy drinks during your stay at Whitebank.
we had a couple of cases of 'too much sun' on friday, where people were taken ill due to the sun, the heat and dehydration, you dont want to be spark out on the floor from too much sun, with either the fan next to you, the good people of St Johns Ambulance, or BIG Phil the ground safety officer giving you the kiss of life!!
Hope we enjoy more days like Friday, and lots of them, weather AND play-wise!
