A win is definetly on the cards i think it will be 42-24 as we tend to have a 10 minute patch where they score back to back tries!

If you had to put up with some of the idiotic fellow fans of yours on here you would understand the reason behind calling them "scum". Though you seem a decent sort so hopefully you can balance things out a bit.

I will go for a 28-10 win for Town, and only 40 minutes of play from us as usual.

Who called there fans scum, are Whitehaven fans in the league??? No I meant Whitehaven rlfc, you know the team that uses tax payers money, then declare themselves bankrupt so they don't have to pay it back, then miraculously rise from the ashes with more money than the clubs who try to do things honestly and above board. And do you ever go on your lots message board? There isn't a topic started without abuse being thrown at us town fans

On the Haven site I objected to someone calling Town fans scum and a former moderator of the site replied saying that it was perfectly acceptable, so there you are!!!! It's a funny old world.

I personally believe that that sort of talk should stay where it originates - in the soccer game - as in the past our game was always noted for good sportsmanship and fans able to mix together without resorting to childish name calling.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Can only agree with you Keith, rivalry is good it makes the game more interesting and fun, no fan is scum just because they support another team, however fierce the rivalry. Best leave that sort of thing for the wendy ballers.

dkw.....If you play for 80mins you may well stand a chance against us, if you only play for 40mins tho' you've no chance mate.

Again I didn't call any fans scum, I was merely pointing out the way there club went about business was a disgrace. Fair dos scum isn't a great word and I apologise but the ###### that gets said about town fans on the haven board is far worse

On another note, why has the board in the town not been changed AGAIN. It still showing as haven as our next home game, were 1 of the lowest attended sides in the league and someone can't be ar**d to chAnge something so simple to notify the non hardcore fans when were playing next. Come on let's get a grip

Wonky I don't think 'scum' was the word you were looking for. I think 'Immoral sanctimonious B*******' would have been more apt. Can I suggest you stop visiting the haven site, I stopped looking at it long ago as it was making me more btter and twisted than they are. As you can see I am now completely cured of this.

As long as we're back to our strongest squad again, and there is one name I wouldn't expect to see on the team sheet following his performance at Keighley, we're good enough to win it and not give away the BP so that scoreline looks about right to me.

On another note I see that Phil Hewitt played again for Haven Under 23's yesterday as well as last week. When did he move? Is this again the price of not having a reserve team?

Crack i've heard is there is a few to follow, lads want a game and sadly if we have no reserve team then chances are scarce.

Well what can we say about that? We were terrible from start to finish, and made a very ordinary team look like world beaters. Our defence was the worst I've seen all year, our attack was slow, un-directed and how we kept letting the ball go dead on nearly every kick off is beyond me. We have too many players playing below par, kris coward was unusually poor today, kaighan was a passenger who slowed every play down he got involved in, and I'm sorry but people need to stop making excuses for Brett carter because he was the worst player in a town shirt by far. And how comes we have probably the biggest pack in the league but make the least amount of yards? The only real possitives was Patrick who was head and shoulders above every other town player, stack made good ground and I thought pedley was good when he came on but for some reason he keeps getting limited to cameo appearances. Overall a day to forget as we fall further off the pace
