Been tol that it was -
West London Sharks 22 -v- 28 Eastern Rhinos
Great result for Rhinos if true.
South London Storm 26 -v- 32 St Albans Centurions
Funny old game, played upon a trampoline (sorry, MUGA). Both teams suffering from Bank Holidayitis with juniors/reserves playing on both teams. Storm were on fine form, they have some very good prospects in some of their young lads, and I think led for most of the match. With about 10 minutes to go Storm were leading 26 - 20, then Cents fitness began to show and they ran in two converted tries to grab the win. Next week a few more senior players will be back for the Cents for their first 'proper' game at our new ground against Hainault Bulldogs.

Good result but i suspect Warrington would not be near to their normal full strength! However it does indicate that they will still be competitive even when the NCL start playing in the summer. That sets a marker dowm!

Dewsbury Celtic 42-14 Nottingham Outlaws
Nevison Leap 42-20 Dewsbury Celtic
Though incidentally they'd have been expected to beat Nevison Leap normally
Wallsend Eagles 28-42 Jarrow Vikings
Sunderland City 28-40 Gateshead Spartans
Peterlee Pumas 12-28 Gateshead Storm
Easterhouse Panthers 28-44 Ayrshire Storm
Edinburgh Eagles 24-0 Carluke Tigers
Moray Eels P-P Fife Lions
Falkirk P-P Ayr Knights
Moray Titans 34-56 Aberdeen Warriors
Sussex Merlins 16-54 Guildford Giants
Looks like Scotland probably started their league too early but North East looks relatively closely matched now they've split it into 2 divisions.

Yeah though it's more complicated than that as they'll be in a different competition, hopefully they get accepted by Championship 1.Good result but i suspect Warrington would not be near to their normal full strength! Valley Cougars aren't just the club side from last year they're stronger than that and it is a long trip

I'm not one for sour grapes, but we had lads missing and made some daft mistakes aswell as missing 6 kicks at goal
but credit to cougars they did the basics right and kicked well. They are another side like Hemel and will be tough to beat away for any team but I'm more than confident that result will be revesed at wilderspool, an you can quote me. Good luck to everyone for tomorrow.

Hey, don't knock our trampoline ! You'll be grateful for that extra bounce when the pitches turn to rock later on in the season.
It was a very enjoyable game, played in good spirit. Our lads' inexperience showed with a few dodgy decisions which led to loss of possession in the final 5 minutes, but we were pleased with the way they went. Southern Premier is looking very competitive this year, with the Rhinos-Wests result as well. Could be a good season all round.

Nevison had a good spell in the middle of the season (We heard that they had a few players from the Bradford Bulls academy signed) beating a very good York Acorn `A` 48 - 14Dewsbury Celtic somewhat impressively managed to play 2 fixtures in different leagues this year, their first RLCN one and their last Yorkshire League one (unlike Kippax and Featherstone Lions who scratched a load of outstanding fixtures)

We never got out of the changing rooms at their place, we found ourselves 16 - 0 down within the first 10 minutes and never got into the game, they blew us away 40 - 14.That hill at Dewsbury Celtic counts as a 14th man. We were in the lead for most of the first half, with the score on the whistle being 14 all. Second half was a different story though, and they just blew us away when they were playing downhill.

It was a great game though, and ad the risk of sounding like Brian Mac when he was at Quins, there were a lot of positives to be taken from the performance today. I missed most of last season due to a combination of work, illness and a general feeling that I needed a season away, so today's squad looked nothing like the one of two years ago. There were about 4 of the old first team regulars, about the same number of fringe/"A" team players from back then, and the rest were either new additions or young lads that have come through our juniors. It all looks good for the future, as there's a lot of raw talent there, there's just a lot more game time needed.

We were terrible and should have been beat by a lot more on the day - Did they have the big young backrower playing, he has a massive work rate.It was a great game though, and ad the risk of sounding like Brian Mac when he was at Quins, there were a lot of positives to be taken from the performance today. West London Sharks 22 -v- 28 Eastern Rhinos
South London Storm 26 -v- 32 St Albans Centurions
Hainault Bulldogs 10 V 34 Hammersmith Hill Hoists
As Roy haggerty says, going on these results, Southern Prem could be very competitive this year.

He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.
And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.
