I personally thought we deserved it from our second half performance but full credit to Millom they kept going to the end and capitilsed on our mistakes.
Again I personally thought the ref did ok he used his linesmen and explained the decisions he made, your bench didnt help at all by shouting constant abuse at him, this is something that cannot be condonne no matter good or bad you think he may have been.
Roll on Wednesday for part III of the Walney v Millom series this time in the top four semi final.
It will be interesting what side's both teams put out.

i never said you didnt deserve it!!! and when you say he took his decisions from your linesmen didnt help really cosidering who he was!!! 2 of his decisions resulted in 2 of your tries one was a blatent knock on and the other knock on the ref had his whistle in his mouth to blow for the knock on till the linesmen again said it wasnt ?? he was on the field more times then i can remember how often do you normally see linsmen on the field the game itself wasnt dirty it was ok 2 fairly equal sides imo but the decisions breed frustation and you know yourself wot he is like you cant approach him at all he just wants to be the centre of attention all the time instead of letting the game flow as for the sending off for mouthing off its just about him again make of it what you will but its a sad state when all you can talk about from the game is the refs performance !!!

I think you are getting a little bit carried away. IMO I dont believe any referee is biased towards any particular team at any level, referee's will make mistakes like the rest of us, if you think you can do a better job then go ahead and have a go.
Like i said shouting constant abuse from the dugout at the referee is uncalled for and IMO it didnt help your lads playing on the pitch.

Get your facts right before you start making comments like this, the person in question is NOT a committee member.
And why were we helped to a win? Was there big decisions that cost you the game? If so please enlighten me as I obviously missed them.

Would this be the same linesman who "helped" Walney beat Hindpool earlier in the season?Get your facts right before you start making comments like this, the person in question is NOT a committee member.

Don't know I didnt see that game so cannot comment.
Think people need to be careful of publicly using the word cheat though.

Now i think people are running away with themseleves, firstly the officals don,t appoint themselves so have ago at the league managment not the individual and secondly we have only lost 2 games all season so far, we most of had a lot of help to finish second and make 4 finals, without wanting to fall out Shawy you had half a dozon first teamers at our spot that day, when we returned the fixture we put 58 points on you and the game was finished 10 mins early due to the frost on the pitch, people need to stop looking to blame others when they are looking for an excuse to moan, Walney have had a bunch of 16/17 year olds(6 in all) along with some older players and personally think they are the most improved side over the past 18 months, people may think this is biased but just look at the facts. 4TH last season and we finished even lower the season before.

Not biting mate just stating some genuine facts and complimenting some of our younger players for their efforts this season, look mate every team has struggled at different times it's the nature when you have 1st teams going away, but lets not blame refs for everything, if we sarted a topic every time some one made a mistake playing we would have 40+ topics a week.

redwhiteandblue if you read the full topic you will see that i stated he gave 2 decions that resulted in 2 of your tries one was a knock on so blatent that the walney crowd on our side were lauging at it saying how the hell did we get away with that the other 2 he gave to the ref were a suppossed high tackle on one of your lads that was 10ft away from tango on the oppiste side of the pitch which was also about 6ft in front of the ref both of which never said it was but he was 60 yards away on the other touch line but he managed to see it from there penalty given to walney ??? then the other knock on the ref had his whistle in his mouth to blow for it till linsman said no knock on play on resulted in try !!!! that was just 3 for ya enlightend now !!

If you want to talk about referring decisions then you could take almost any game at any level and pick what you believe are faults.
If I wanted to be picky lets talk about the game when we played you at Haverigg RU in Feb, the ref IMO gave Millom several penalties in the second half that were not justified, two of which lead to tries by Millom which allowed you to draw the game 22-22....................again IMO you didn't deserve.
Or what about the Frank Reid final at Ulverston a few weeks back your player punched the Walney No6 from from behind and knocked him to the floor (after a bit of niggle at the play the ball) what happen to him.............................nothing, again IMO he should have been sin binnedfor 10 mins.
What about the Harry Warman cup semi at Walney last week, the constant abusing of the ref by the Millom bench, yes one player got sent off but IMO there should have been at least another one sent off, the abuse was uncalled for and unjustified.
These just three examples, again IMO I do not believe any ref or linesman is biased towards any team even if they have current or previous connections with the club.
Let's hope that Millom dont get any 'favourable' decisions tomorrow against Cas Pathers or on Wednesday night against Ulverston cos I'd hate to think you avoided relegation or got to a cup final on the back of them!!

Old millom town, I agree about a couple of knock on decisions that could have been given, our lad knocked on 10 metres from our line it was not given he continued 50 meters down the fieldand and we went on to score from that set,( will give you that one) but you should play to the whistle instead of moaning, but the incident when the linesman came on and gave a high tackle against your player on our fullback was understandable in my opinion as i myself saw the incident it was by no means a bad tackle but he did catch the fullback across the face, they had their backs to your side of the field so i can totally understand that you would think the penalty harse and i must stipulate that there was not intent in the tackle IMO, but i can also see why the linesman flagged as from his side you could clearly see that he did catch the player across the face. To be fair to our fullback he just got up and played the ball.

Your right our player should have got 10 mins but your No6 should have been sent off for kicking him in the head not just given 10 mins. That was what started it, and was seen by both linesmen. So I think the ref on advice from his linesmen took it easy on them both.
