Fascinating match in prospect. Steve McCormack has a good record of leading teams to raise their game in Cup matches of this nature in recent years, most recently Barrow winning at Castleford.

Not good news on Ian Watson, but off set a bit by Dean Thompson and Tommy Gallagher being back in contention. A relatively narrow pitch and a big side lining up in opposition, coached by Mr Jowitt its a "what you see is what you get" scenario. I have a feeling this match is made for Gallagher to be very effective indeed, armed with support runners down the middle.

A case of "Murphy's law" that Ian Watson takes an injury straight after Carl Forber is allowed to join Oldham. A tough decision for Steve McCormack - should Forber be recalled, something that he might resent as he's started off well with the Roughyeds? Personally I wouldn't like to see Ainscough played at 7, leave him at 6 where he's playing well. Would probably opt for Ashall.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

Carl Forber is cup tied and will not be allowed to play for Oldham as he played for the Lions against East Hull.

Im guessing Hawkyards no closer to being back? he would be my first choice. Interesting decision macs going to have to make. Not sure if Ashalls got the experience to run the plays from scrum half. Id be tempted to put in Ainscough, he can still make his breaks from that position and maybe have Gallagher as stand off, think we need some solid experience between the two positions to replace Watto if were going to be effective.
Im only smiling because `no-one`'s found the bodies yet.
