Please can everybody think about their threads before they post. I have had a complaint about off topic threads mainly the 'Nice little earner' and 'Henery Cooper' ones. These should be on the Any Other Business forum. Now I don't really think that if these don't air on here they will air on there but I have to take notice of all complaints even if they are from people who aren't regulars on this forum.

I have contacted John Drake to put my postion and await his reply, but he is a busy man and it may take a little while. Until then I will lock the other thread as I cannot move it.

Please be patient.

Threads like the 'Nice little earner' should be left to Any Other Business. However, the thread concerning Henery Cooper's passing will be allowed but please try to keep it to the topic of the thread and not go 'off on one'.

Will everybody please note that threads concerning the running of the club in any way will be open to only posters who have surrendered their anonymity.

If everyone plays by the rules then this forum will operate smoothly, OK?

Once you start to put conditions on what can be posted (beyond basic decency) and by who you are on the slippery slope of controlling discussion (aka censorship).

Please note this is not about the running of the club, its about the running of the forum, and as someone continues to tell posters this forum is independent of the club, so I am not breaking any rules.

Take a look at the forum sites for the other clubs - none of this sort of nonsense. We are now tying ourselves in knots in order to preserve a position that is not sustainable.

Satire and toungue-in-cheek remarks have been the cornerstone of British humour until the P.C. brigade began trying to cutail it in the media and tv (thankfully unsuccessfully........up to now)? I had a complaint and that is all I am allowed to say and I contacted John Drake for guidance. Basically, John is quite happy at the way the forum is going along and he just wants to leave well alone, so that's what we're doing. I will say that the complaint didn't come from a person who is posting on here, a bit of minding ones own business wouldn't go amiss if you ask me.

Hi OG. Good to see I am not the only Roughyed thinking that. If this is the burning issue for the Hairnets then yes it is serious for Rochdale. Most clubs have something more worthwhile to worry about!
