We had a great result at Worky, they were a team we perhaps should have not beaten, given their form, and size.
The lads put in a brilliant show, and I for one was very proud to be a Hornet on Sunday.
The press, however, seem not to share my joy. The piece in the Obby, was very small, there is rather more coverage of the local soccer team, who's season is pretty much over. The RL press isn't much better. But for a local paper the Observer doesn't seem to know much about us. I rather wish I had more journalistic ability.

Unfortunately the game wasn't covered by our usual stalwart reporter, Mike Floyd, because he's away on holiday. However he did text me within minutes of the final whistle enquiring as to how we had gone on.

Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth

Martin Butcher wrote a good piece in the League Express which is my preferred RL paper. You get reports on all games in all divisions and some excellent articles from the editorial team. Our game at Derwent Park got about 2/3 page report.
Mike always does a good job but sadly they don't have anyone to take over if he's away.
The League express at £1.50 every Monday is good value.
Pugwash.

I get the Express, and the Weekly, always good to get more than one perspective, sadly both prefer the Americanized version of the game, as played by Saints and their ilk
I seriously think tho' that the Obby, should realise that the footie season is pretty much done, and that we're playing important games, that deserve more than a quarter page, next to an article about Junior Rugby Union, which I'm sure is important, just not more so.
More coverage might just temp more people to come and have a look.
