It's looking that way but if they can get a team out next week (easier said than done) they may be able to scrape through the season. I think if they can't get a team next week that's probably RIP, and next year Stanningley and Milford are switching to summer anyway. Sad though because it's a famous name and they've got good people running them plus they played in the first live (as opposed to Sky) rugby league game I saw.RIP Bramley?
Not convinced Stanningley would want or need a mergerStupid question but is there any future in a merger with Stanningley where they play? Are the organisations that different that one teams players won't play for the other?

Well i'd say it's a true indication of what we always knew about the Northern RLCN sides! They where bolstered by BARLA players, what I don't understand is why Bramley have never run their own juniors. It's a shame that is, something has gone badly wrong up there.

They wanted to become a semi-professional club and semi-professional clubs (with a few exceptions like Featherstone, Keighley, Gateshead and Skolars) typically don't put much effort into juniors. Plus Stanningley would hardly want a full junior club set up at their ground in competition with their ownWell i'd say it's a true indication of what we always knew about the Northern RLCN sides! As per the Buffalo Bulletin
BUFFALOES CALL OFF KNIGHTS CLASH
Bramley Buffaloes Rugby League Club regretfully announce the postponement of Friday (6th May) evening’s home match at Stanningley’s Arthur Miller Stadium against Kippax Knights.
The match, which was scheduled to be the Buffaloes’ first in this season’s Co-operative Conference National after the cancellation of last weekend’s clash at Featherstone Lions, has been called off due to the lack of players available to coach Chris Gardner.
“We have to accept that we have serious problems,” explained club chair Martyn Cheney “and we will urgently address the situation over the coming days.
“We will clearly have to look at the player availability issue early next week before deciding on our continuing involvement at this level. We will then decide our best course of action.
“It’s been a fascinating and rewarding yet demanding and challenging eleven years for the many committed volunteers and supporters involved in resurrecting the club but maybe now is the time to take stock and decide on the future course of the Bramley Rugby League identity.
“We apologise to all of our loyal supporters and everyone involved with Kippax Knights and will keep all parties informed of developments through the media and our own club communication channels,” added Martyn.

There's no chance of the current incarnation of Bramley being back IMO but I don't think the name's dead. The question is should they come back as a community club and work there way bottom up or should they try to seek backing to form a new Championship 1 club (the latter of which they have a large enough fanbase for)Bramley have a great set of fans and lots of them, too.
I expect to see them re-group, maybe in time for next season?

I can't see the RFL being too happy about admitting them to CC1 if they can't field a RLCN side. With BARLA teams switching to summer, there is no future for them other than starting junior sides and working their way up. The Bramley name must be kept alive but it doesn't have to be as a semi-pro club. Unless of course somebody comes along with deep pockets who wishes to pay for the whole shooting match.
I'm aware than Stanningley have issues with Bramley having juniors while based at their ground but Bramley could have a feeder club playing somewhere left-field such as Bramley.

Notable that all the other Northern sides managed to put out sides last week - even the one that had to travel to Wales. Shame to see a famous name disappear but thats the way it looks to be going
