Leicester Storm Under 18s 58-22 Birmingham Bulldogs Under 18s
Coventry Bears Under 18s P-P Telford Raiders Under 18s
Northampton Demons Under 18s P-P North Derbyshire Chargers Under 18s
This is the first year of the Midlands Under 18s league, hence the shaky start, but hopefully all games will go ahead next week.
Though impressed Leicester won as this year is the first year they've ran a junior programme.
Under 16s kicks off next week with a nine team league. Under 14s, Under 13s, Under 11s and Girls Under 12s will have a tournament format.

Hammersmith Hillshoists P-P West London Sharks
Apparently it's a mutual agreement as both clubs have a lot of players in the London Aussies Vs London Kiwis ANZAC Challenge rather than something to worry about

A good win for St George soured a bit by a broken ankle.
Well done to Sonics who lost a few players to their 1sts for a good game.

Indeed - all clubs will rearrange the games which is a bonus and common sense from the clubs who were let down and embracing the aim of the comp!

Storm barely had an 18s side last week but have picked up players rapidly and had 20 odd players available today. It really shows the potential in the city.
Several of the Birmingham lads doubled up and played for the Open Age too. A lot of credit to them.
North Derbyshire Chargers - join the stampede

North Devon Raiders 30, Devon Sharks 58
Raiders had 23 players, loaned three to the Sharks to make 15 and ended up losing! 22 each at half time.
Best ever turnout for North Devon so that's a positive, East Devon away next week, see what happens then.

Sonics' firsts won 40-8 against Birmingham's firsts.
Leicester Storm beat Brimibgham's seconds 72-8.
Congrats to Swindon St George for their win over our seconds. It was a good game that either side could have won. We managed to score more tries but didn't convert any… doh! To Swindon's credit they defended very well for much of the game, and we had to go round them to score (all our tries were in the corners). They've improved a lot since I last saw them play.
Since the Sonics Seconds' side was a pretty scratch team, with quite a few lads dragged out of bed with hangovers/badgered into playing, it bodes well. With more players due back, competition for places in the first and second teams will be strong this season, which is great news.
Chuffed with the first team's win. Birmingham can be a tricky place to go, but from what I hear we were by far the better side and didn't react to their, erm, physical tactics. Yellow card for Dom Swann though… that's a first!
Incidentally, you can follow the Sonics on Twitter and get live updates of first and second team scores - check out http://www.twitter.com/BristolSonicsRL

St Albans Centurions 66 -v- 10 Hainault Bulldogs
Great result for St Albans who went into this game with 5 first teamers missing.
The young lads who filled their places did very well indeed.
