Link to Perth in NRL Article

Gorden Tallis reckons that instead of starting a new club up in Perth as part of an expansion to NRL Cronulla should relocate to Perth instead.
There is some logic to it: the NRL money doesn't have to be spread any thinner around.
All the same Gorden, if I was from Perth I'd want my own new team, with a fresh start and no baggage.
I can see where you are coming from - it's just I'm not convinced at all.

What do you reckon?

Worst idea. Look at how tough it is to start a new sport franchise. Soccer with Fury, Gold Coast United or Melbourne Heart and the AFL with GWS and GC Suns. We can not take it lightly and need to equip our new teams with all the advantages and support in the world.

Saddling a new WA team with a some what damaged brand isn't the right fit. And WA needs to be in control of a WA team. I hate to imagine these blowins from Sydney dictating and they have a shocking record of administration anyway.

What needs ton be done is bring back the REDS brand and right the wrongs of the past!

Also the fact that Tallis even suggested that the Bulldogs move pretty much disqualifies him to make a judgement in my eyes.
