The West Cumbria U18s are playing at Home at Derwent Park this Sunday v Wigan St Judes kick off 1.30pm
Workington Town RLFC are very much a part of the WC U18 set up. Indeed 8 of our very own U18 Scholarship squad are in the WC set up.
With no action at DP for the last couple of weeks, its a great opportunity to get a fix of Rugby and also to see the stars of the future.....

West Cumbria started with only 11 players against a big st judes team,i thought that we were in for a stuffing but it was the last 10 minutes that judes really won the game.To be honest the judes looked an ordinary side and with a full complement cumbria would have won the game, but with no reserves to bring on and the tiredness setting in judes took advantage especially the big no5 who without doubt will if not now be swooped up by a superleague team,he was at least 6'2 or 3" and powerfully built and had terrific speed,he was the stand out player for the judes. The score i think was 40 to 24 for the judes but you have got to give credit to the cumbrians for making a game of it.
