I'd argue that that is actually our strongest line-up in terms of the 17 with Buttery at 18th man. (Who's voted for York, BTW?Dogs 36 York 10

Don't think we can afford to count our chickens or be overly confident with this one. I've seen us put on some great showings over the years (like the Giants game), only to crash down to earth a week later in a game we should have won. York have some decent players - Esders, Thorman (who I believe is actually injured), Ford, Lee and Thackeray, who are all dangerous customer this level. As fans, we need to be cautious. Its not a nice feeling when you have egg on your face.

Agreed, Harold. The game at Don Valley immediately following the magnificent win against Barrow springs to mind. I took a couple of mates to that and was embarrassed at our poor showing. Same again at the Sheep's place following NRC triumph.
All we can say is that if we play to our full potential we should beat York. Batley to win by 18.

Is Daley W definitely fit then? He obviously didnt play against the Giants, but there was no word of an injury, and I would have thought he would have been first choice in the Centres, even though I must admit I really like Walton lining up there with his power and pace over 20 yards.
Wont be an easy game as York are scrapping for their lives, but with a week's rest and full strength side (depending on whether GF makes it), I think we'll win comfortably after a tight first 30 or so. Batley 42 York 10

I agree that we usually follow a great performance with a poor one, last season after the great semi win at LeighDon't think we can afford to count our chickens or be overly confident with this one. i believe we followed up with the ridiculous home game against Tolouse (40-42 i think) then after the NR cup win we lost at the Rams, also after the Barrow win we lost at Sheffield,i hope history does not repeat itself!

Toohey has been really consistent this year, but difficult to change the team after the Giants peformance.
Agree about Toothill, but thought he had his best game by far against Hudds, and made more yards than he has in any other game so far this season. Plus at times he has a pretty good offload game. So its a tight call between him and Potter, who probably had his best game in a Batley shirt in the same game.
Real tough call for KH. However, isnt it nice to have these types of problems, unlike in previous years when we didnt have the size or quality of squad to make selections based on form.
