not sure what game you were watching but i thought the ref had a good game tried to let it flow the best he could but was not helped by the players on both sides. As i am aware he is not on walney comittee and has not been for 2 years. But there is another thread for sideline referees if you want to give it a go and put your money where your mouth isDo not know who picks the REF but it was awful how can someone who is on the committee for Walnley also who's son plays for Walnley be the ref would not matter if he had been fair but he was bang out of order on that pitch.

well the refs got a final each so as walney were in every final he had to be appointed to one of them end of the day every referee in one way or another is link or has been linked to a local club in one way but untill we get more volenteers your stuck with us so haHaha go on tango! Didn't see the game but i can see where he is coming from .. if his son is playing then it would be hard not be even a little bit bias ..

doddj1..........................you are entitled to your opinion but instead of hiding behind a pseudonym why don't you tell us your real name.................................some how I don't think you will.
Terry is not on the committee at Walney.
Like I have said on a previous thread I don't believe that any referee/linesman's is biased towards any club at any level, irrespective of any current/previous ties. Yes they will make decisions that not everyone will agrees with but in every rugby game that is played you could debate numerous decisions.
Personally I thought Terry had a reasonable game last night and although I don't know the penalty count I can imagine that it will not favour either team by a large number.
Rob Mac has put on another thread about a coaching course, so if you think you can do better then go and have a go.

Saying the ref would find it hard not to show any bias is utter rubbish. Maybe the ref would try extra hard not to show any bias and would swing the other way in order not to be labelled a cheat.
Fair one, bias was clearly the wrong word, but what you have said still shows that his decisions have been affected .. F*ck it, its only the BnD not like its a Grand Final

I think the ref had a resonable game, the linesmen on the other hand were quite different, one especially had to rely on the supporters to make his decisions.

I didn't think you would reveal your identity, it's easy to sit and criticise when you are hiding behind a name.As for the penalty count the same linesmen told me Walney got 8 penalty's in 5mins Anyhow at least the best team won on the night.
8 penalties in 5 mins, I cannot recall us getting that many in a short space of time.
Completely agree the best team won on the night this is what I put on another thread:
Askam lifted the Harry Warman cup with a deserved win over Walney. Askam took control on the game after Walney had taken an early 6-0 lead, they built up a 30-10 lead with 10 minutes to go before Walney hit back with 3 late tries.
What ever happens in the top four final tomorrow, we at Walney feel the A team have had a good season, finishing 2nd in league, getting to the finals of all four cups and winning at least 1 (hopefully 2 after tomorrow).
Also we have fulfilled all our league and cup fixtures.

The league tells the tale of the season, not who wins the finals.
See you tommorow!
