Queensland Origin I Line-up

1. Billy Slater (Melbourne Storm)

2. Darius Boyd (St George Illawarra)

3. Dane Nielsen (Melbourne Storm)

4. Willie Tonga (North Queensland)

5. Jharal Yow Yeh (Brisbane Broncos)

6. Darren Lockyer © (Brisbane Broncos)

7. Johnathan Thurston (North Queensland Cowboys)

8. Matt Scott (North Queensland Cowboys)

9. Cameron Smith (Melbourne Storm)

10. Petero Civoniceva (Penrith)

11. Nate Myles (Sydney Roosters)

12. Sam Thaiday (Brisbane Broncos)

13. Ashley Harrison (Gold Coast Titans)

Bench: Cooper Cronk (Melbourne Storm), Corey Parker (Brisbane Broncos), Jacob Lillyman (Warriors), Ben Hannant (Brisbane Broncos).

18th man: Dave Taylor (South Sydney).

So injuries to Inglis and hodges mean a new look back line with Dane Neilson and Jharal Yow Yeh stepping up.
Sooooo ... Corey Parker is in , yes, that's not a misprint!!! But Dave Taylor is out!
What do you reckon to Parker's recall after such a long time?
Do you think Maroons can make this a 6th straight series win in a row with this line-up?

I watch the NRL on Premier sports here in England, I love it.
To be honest I would have written Corey Parkers name in the starting pack as I believe that he has been as good as any L/Forward (lock) in the NRL this season so far. He has played absolutely out of his skin for the Bronco's each time I have watched them play and there will be no worries over his ability at all.

Maroons team is pretty much as you'd expect - sticking with a winning formula.
If it isn't broken, why fix it.

Well having said that Dane Neilson is in as pointed out above, good luck Dane. I suppose he was the surprise choice - Jack Reed has been on top form for Brisbane and might have booked his rep place for some folk. I guess his time will come.
They've looked at Yow Yeh and pulled him straight in as there's no Folau - who has turned away from our game.
Corey Parker on the bench rather than Dave Taylor is a talking point, but maybe more was expected of Dave in Rabbitohs games this season, while Parker has caught the eye with some strong performances.
Lilleyman is the other bench choice that caught me out a bit, though I haven't seen as much of him playing this season so far. He's there rather than Dallas Johnson who I'd have given the bench spot to. He was in the preliminary squad but ultimately misses out. Hard luck Dallas.

Few surprises overall sums it up.

It wasn't just that he came to Super League - going to Catalans was the wild card element in the mix.
Maybe Dallas thought it would be like going to Storm.
It was somewhere out of the usual stamping grounds with some fresh experience to offer.

However Les Catalans are in France where they speak French and do things differently.
Great experience for him in life though. So I bet Dallas would see positives as well as negatives.
On a strictly playing basis I guess he would have been better either going to a different SL club or staying in NRL
It's good to see him back and playing well.
