.....thank god! The Challenge Cup defeat by Castleford of 106 - 0 is now held by Swinton, Warrington 112 - Swinton 0.
I honestly feel for the Lions as I remember that game too well and now it's in the mist of time!
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......

I've just been reminded that Hornets were the ONLY Championship 1 club to actually score against their Super League opposition in the Challenge Cup, so that is some kind of achievement at least to us! :smile:

Was the 106-0 defeat in the Challenge Cup? I thought it was in the league.

We had a record win over Illingworth. 120-4 in 2005.

Come on Malc our debarcul v Castleford was a regular league game the only record Hornets ever had was a winning one in the challege cup v Illingworth.

Our record score was beaten this season by York I think!

Pugwash.

I stand corrected Mark, probably the excitment of the moment :blush:
