There is no chance of the Directors footing the bill for a B&B so ask for contributions from others to fund the trip to South Wales.

Thats the problem with this division and the location of some of the away games.I think same day travel to cearphilly took it out on our lads. no chance of doing some proper pre match training and warm up before KO. The clubs have to factor in the cost of Hotel, and 2 days coach hire, and in this division with poor crowds, is a financial struggle. Last season, we played the skolars on the Aug bank holiday friday, the team stopped over after the game, and went to the CC final the following day.That’s London down the pan for two seasons on the trot plus South Wales last year. Time to mix it up a bit and put the lads in some accommodation the day before. If as a group of Players, travelling is not their bag then address the issue and provide accommodation rather than constantly let vital points go begging on long away trips.

Didn't we have an overnighter at 'Haven under Bobbie Goulding and we still got beaten? It wasn't the travelling that beat us, it was a more determined team, no excuses! I can see them upsetting one or two more sides who think they're an easy option this year if they produce performances like that?That’s London down the pan for two seasons on the trot plus South Wales last year. A bogey team, yes, but we play like champions one week, then chumpions the next!
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......

The game you chose to mention Malc was a top of the table play off encounter that yes we did lose but it seems rather daft to compare that particular game v Whitehaven with losing twice on the trot to a poor London team no matter who you look at it.
But for the record under Bobbie we stayed overnight before the London game and put 60 odd points on them.
We stayed overnight at Bridgend with Darren Abram put 40 on them. We also stayed over night with Hally up at Gateshead and inflicted their biggest ever defeat on them at the time, when they were far better than they are now. We also went to Whitehaven with Hall and stayed overnight when we have a scratch side just after the Leeds night club incident – we put 40 points on them. There are many more.
On the whole staying overnight pays dividends
If you keep doing the same old you get the same old, obviously looking at Hornets away record in recent seasons plenty of points have gone astray.
