FORGET about seniors, forget about converting rugby union players it just does not work.
Look at Holland,Estonia,Georgia,Belgium and the others that have tried it.
Now look at the MENSA countries.
Start at under 14's then in six or seven years time you will have a whole group and if done right a conveyor belt of LEAGUE players dedicated to the cause.

I reckon you're right. Same applies to development areas in the UK to be honest.

We are not using Rugby league in the official title since Union in Poland already calls their comp the Rugby League... and basically we are steering as far away from Union as possible, and have no intention of antagonizing them in any way, though they do send people to photograph the training session KGB style. lol
It would be great to get peoples comments and feedback on the website too.
Though I am still building it up and getting it to look all nice, over time I hope it will be all OK. I will run Polish and English translation on the articles.

Was he the guy that played for PSG in the first SL season?
Unfortunately Greg Kacala was sufficiently impressive to be poached by the punt'n'grunt mob for big money.
"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore
"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

Excellent news i have many contacts there (Lodz) if i remember correctly there are only 6 odd Union teams in Poland and a couple were in Lozz and also i think in Gdansk.I used to spend christmas and new year in Lodz it has certainly changed alot since the late 1990,s and has moved on alot from its days as the textile capital of Poland, there are lots of great bars (Pint of beer only around 5 Zloty 1.10/20) a fantastic new shoping mall and several global companies have now moved there including Dell who relocated from Ireland.CMOh which city, maybe I can start discussions with Lukasz about the future.
At the moment its going to be in Lodz, its a city that needs some sort of pick me up for the youth, get them off the streets. I have had a great response from people I know in helping with kits and come over to do training weekends.
We are aiming for the first game to be in September some time, so maybe a club game against one of the Czech or German teams. It all depends on how fast things will set up withe the city with registration. Though the process is not so much difficlut in POland, it tends to take a loooooong time to get stuff done.
But its been started to see where things go.

"Union in Poland already calls their comp the Rugby League"
They should be taken all the way to the cleaners ( European Court ) calling themselves RUGBY LEAGUE ............LOL ......in fact the RFU should be taken to court calling themselves RUGBY ............

Bring back Eddie Syzmala.
I think im right in saying that there are a few Polish ex-pats playing in the Barrow & District league , surely there is enough of them playing through out the UK to have a few Rep sides that could play each other in SOO type seris, who would pay for it may be aproblem unless some UK based Polish themed compamies club together.
Doffs cap to Druzik inhis efforts here.

Look, we want to leave Rugby Union alone in Poland. We are not targeting them, their clubs or players at all. If they want to come over on their own free will then they will be welcome openly and warmly, but as such we will not target them or any other sport.
We have a good base of young players all in their late teens and early 20s who have only now picked up and played league, they are League players and their skills will be honed as such, this is what we want, our own guys who play our game. This way we don't have to worry about scheduling matches because of players unavailable to play due to other sports.
With ex-pat and heritage players and people wanting to coach and help, all I say is that we want people that can give as close to 100% commitment to the team and not only show up when a game is on or when its convenient. We have had many people contact me with interest so its good to see that there are people out there wanting to help how they can.
The national team we are also aiming to have a majority native grown, and have any heritage players in positions where they can make the most impact for us and help the local player grow.

Try and get hold of some of these Polish football thugs dru and show them what a real hard man's game is like. The majority will run a mile.
Believe it or not, the idea has been discussed, I personally am not a big fan of doing it, but others are and so we need to come up with a good way to get them in without us being associated with racism and hooliganism at the same time.

Why not, many of us have been super daft while young then tur the cornerand lead productive lives etc, same applies here, they will get the physical stuff they seem to relish but in a controlled positive way , go for it Druzik.
