The guy is an idiot who can't hold his drink. I've been unfortunate enough to be stood near him on a few occasions and his language is appalling. Intact it's almost as bad as his rugby knowledge.

I've known him a while, and he's geniunley a nice guy. His problem is that he's being influenced by two idiots, gets drunk, and shouts off without thinking.

I'm not going to go into what TB stated to me, its just safe to say that I won't be attending anymore games this year.

"Did A Supporter Verbally Abuse TB"?


If a so called Oldham supporter vdid erbally abused a club offical, player or coach that individuals behaviour is totally unacceptable in any level of society.

I understand the expression "You play your money and you can have your say" but if that persons dissatisfaction is fuelled by intoxicants it is clear they haven't got the personal intelligence to control thier emotions whilst under the influence of alcohol.(So don't drink)

That kind of behaviour is not welcome in Rugby League.

I didnt witness the incident but i am so glad my young son didn't have to witness it, I watch rugby league because it is a family sport and i can take my kids to the game without fear of exposing them the foul and abusive language.

Lets hope Olham take postive action against the individual who decided to act in this unacceptable manner.

As he has apologised for his unacceptable behaviour, I think we should close the book on this incident.
As you say, you didn't see it,so I don't see how your in a position to comment. All this is doing is adding flames to the fire, and as I said earlier, he's a decent lad when sober, but he's being influenced by two people who I will describe as a two faced individuals, who will not say to TB's face, what they say behind his back, one of who is staying away from home games because he objects to paying £12. He is then coming into the club after the game and calling CH and TB behind their backs. When challenged by CH, he then sits with his back to him and says feck all. Sgt slaughter, i think, is listening to them, getting drunk, and spouting off.
We know it's a frustating start to the season, but it looked on fri night, as though we have turned the corner.
It's no use slagging TB off, he's got a limited player budget, and a massive injury list to contend with. We now have our own ground, and according to Ch at the south wales game, the ground lease is being processed. Look through the rest of the division, Hornets yesterday, beaten 44-22( yes I know it's funny) the other two close games, all on low crowds, and we are not much different. Sack Benson, and who will do any better under the current climate. No one IMHO. Mccormacks side were given a severe testing fri night, and they are loaded up with a full 1st choice 17.
So can we close the thread on this? Get Sgt slaughter to apologise to TB,and welcome a long standing supporter back with a " behave yourself" warning.
A few years ago, I was in an dispute with CH,and I got unexpected support at Batley fom Sgt Slaughter, so I know first hand what sort of a decent bloke he can be.
