I know it has nowt to do with Rugby(But neither has Bob Dylans Birthday) ! :tongue:

But How Good where 'Barcelona' last Night ?, they made the Best Team in England look like a Sunday League side at Times ! :ohmy:

They where a joy to watch and oozed class all over the Field !, 67% possession in the Champions League Final tells it's own story !, Bloody Brilliant ! (IMO) :)

I wouldn't worry about being off topic GB, if some one complained you could just point out that Barca also have a rugby league team and they're a co-op.

That's what I don't like about 'the beautiful game' an hour of resonabley entertaining football and 3 good goals for Barcelona followed by 30 minutes of demonstation passing back and forward with little intention of scoring any more. In Rugby it's attacking play, not defensive moves that prevails one or both teams for the whole of the 80 minutes. Britain's got Talent would have been more interesting for that 30 minutes IMO?
Yeah, a bad day in the Smoke hasn't helped me today either! :angry:

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......

I think you are missing the point Mal - retaining possession is the tactic most top class sides use now as they probe to find an opening in what are usually pretty tight defenses. Man United usually play this way but for some (unknown) reason Fergie decided to use the long ball on saturday (while having two shortish forwards). I think he acknowledges he got it wrong tactically - though not clear if it would have made any difference.

To the regular football fan Barcelona's performance was a thing of beauty - to the average rugby league fan it might have been something different but maybe thats why you watch rugby league. You dont often here anyone complaining about a football game that ends up 3-1. There have been some right snoozers of Champions league finals (often ending in penalties) - this certainly was not one of them and I felt the huge ticket price I paid was money well spent.

Incidentally I wonder what the Newcastle 8 Parramatta 6 game was like?
