According to the Keighley v Whitehaven programme from yesterdays match next Sundays game against Rochdale is going to be Blokes Day !!
It says in the programme that all blokes over the age of 18 attending the game will be eligable to Two free pints of lager or beer one before 2pm and another after 5pm. Keighley are also offering and all you can eat Asian Buffet at five pounds for blokes, six for ladies and 4 for children.
Sounds like good fun

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......

Joking apart I honestly thought we had moved on from such victorian attitudes about the sexes.
Obviously following on from Faetherstone's offer a few weeks back Yorkshire is still a few centuries behind the rest of the country. Thank God we closed their pits - they'd still be sending their kids down em.

Great. The perfect response - a 31-30 win at Keighley - last minute, but who cares? We were down 30-18. And Skolars came very close to an upset at Haven.

That must've been a cracker. Great response to last weeks performance by your lads.
Oldham being Oldham, we turn a corner at Swinton last week, than skid out of control this week. Before anyone says it...Yep, we are ######!

Sorry BR, I'm afriad you're wrong there. It was all down to the Cougars playing badly and giving us lots of penalties according to Jason Dmetriou, I'd consider taking those grapes back to Tesco mate, they're sour.
He whined and moaned as long as Radio Leeds would let him and barely any credit for Hornets. Some of the fans quotes were along the same lines. "We were rubbish.", "We need two new half-backs." etc. No, what you need is to get rid of those two thugs Feather and Schikell, they're a couple of weapons-grade nutcases.
I thought the game was excellent with tries being traded until well into the second half when the Cougars opened up a 12 point lead. At the time we were flagging somewhat but the re-introduction of McGovern set us up for a final push. Even after the drop there was enough time for both teams to have a few possessions and a big fight as well. All in all a good game, unless you're Demetriou or a Keighley fan.
Well done to Stanky and the lads, Swinton up next!

We got a bit of credit after the game from Demetriou.

Great result by the team after last week, thought it was a decent match their errors were a result of our defence being up and at them especially in the second half.
The guys stood behind us who never stopped complaining about the referee even when they got the decision, and choice use of the language in front youngsters (and I thought it was a family game) made a very fast get away at the end.

Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

BRILLIANT Well done HORNETS everyone of you
Had a great day got my book and Stanky signed it
had lunch out got 2 free drinks thanks to Alan
watched a good game that made your heart beat fast
BR did hear the choice words got to say been like that every game
we have played there this season and they gave it out before game re
respect,family game
A well deserved win
And Jason Demetriou in his speech in the bar re discipline as the coach he
should set an example to the team , maybe time to decided whether he's better as
player or coach as in my eyes not good for your coach to lose it on the field
Also fingers crossed for the 2 Hornets lads that picked up nasty injuries today

Excellent win for Rochdale today, well done.
With the Lions winning at Gateshead we are now 6 pts clear and i'm looking forward to the Swinton v Rochdale game in a couple of weeks as that in my opinion will be against the top two teams in the division.
