I'd agree on the SOO having a stand alone weekend. But then you extend the season, as the clubs would be reluctant to see a reduction in the number of matches played. As for relocating clubs, which ones?

I'm not altogether convinced that SOO is to blame for the standard of matches. There's been a lot of fairly ordinary games in the NRL since the season started.

I stopped listening to Tallis years ago when he first suggested to abolish "deadrubbers" in Origin. You have to be kidding, it's about pride and every game counts. I wonder how he would have dealt with the very lean years where NSW thumped QLD in State football when they bought all our players. And it wasnt about just the ones that line up against us, but the ones they dont pick but we cant cause they still play in the NSWRL/Sydney comp.

And recently he suggested relocating of all teams the BULLDOGS!

He is a great bloke and I like him but deadset, leave the strategic thinking alone please.

I think that NRL matches are the bread and butter, the earner. I also think that Origin is oiur jewel in the crown. But Origin basically canibalises the NRL for many Rounds and ruins many big games for us. This has to end, end one day.

But I am an internationalist and believe we need international footy to ensure the future of our game and bring in new fans and revenue. I dont want to see the international season be cut into.

Truth is I think the best thing would be to trim the NRL season, ensure we get everything we can out of every match. Stand alone Origins supported by Tests between other nations such as Tonga v Saoma, PNG v Fiji.

We would also see an advantage in snycing out season with the northern hemisphere. And we could see England v Exiles or Wales v France.

Stand alone Origins is the way to go but we also need to product further TV games. Because the TV networks will want it, we want to maintain our ratings and the fans will get bored with only one game a weekend.

Stand-alone Origins is a must.
The current system spoils the system - some matches become almost a lottery and fans are short changed when going to matches.
I agree that the last few weeks has seen the quality of NRL games plummet. It's a long time since I saw so many errors and and weaknesses.
There's been so many personnel changes that consistency is almost impossible.
The bye system contributes to this inconsistency.
If stand-alone Origins came in and byes were waved goodbye the quality would be better.

I don't like the idea of re-locating at all.
If new teams are added they should be fresh starters with no baggage
