With no kaighan,Patrick and the travel sick mattinson I think we will struggle to come away with maximum points. If we play to full potential town 32-18 if we perform for the usual 20 mins then town 16 scorpion 26

he didnt play well on sunday because he is INJURED stop dishing ###### about our own players for ffs leave that to choccy and the muppets...Kaighan unavailable, and mattinson injured but seems a bit odd that he's only been injured or unavailable against London and Wales, our 2 furthest journeys, coincidence? I'm not convinced. Hopefully bamber will get kaighans place.

Has he been injured for the past month or so also anok4u? As he has been quite poor lately. I simply have no idea what the result will be in this game, and I doubt the players or coaches do either. This Town team is frustratingly inconsistent.

I'm not saying it's true, all I was pointing out is the 2 games he's missed all season are the 2 furthest journeys. I hope it isn't, but he's been no where near his own high standards of late and you have to wonder if he's happy playing in a side loosing more games than we win in this poor division. After all many consider him to be 1 of the best players outside super league and let's be honest when he's on form he should not be playing in this league. To win promotion we need our 3 best players, Matty, stack and carter all to be at there best week in, week out.but so far the only 1 playing up to there ability consistently is stack, although carter was far better on Sunday than in previous games.

I dont think anyone is questioning how good he can be, at the start of the season he was outstanding. Lately though he has been outplayed by Pedley in most games. Now if he has been carrying an injury then so be it. If not, it would be nice to know the reason.

As disappointing as it is if a player is genuinely injured then we must accept that and just hope that everyone else puts that little bit extra in to compensate for the loss of Matty, Patrick and Kaighan. Like others I just hope young Bamber will be given the scrum-half job as he never let's anyone down. A bigger question is when are we likely to see Jacko performing like we know he used to for Haven? It will now be an even bigger ask to win down at South Wales but if we are to believe the coaches that everyone is going to give honest performances then we might just sneak a win.

I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

If the crack is right Bamber was asked to travel but had to decline because he had agreed to work as he wasnt expecting a look in.
Jacko not playing either

Agreed its over reaction sometimes. We've a few holes in our defence that need sorting, thats the gist of it; no more than that but might need some hard decisions.
I'm sure South Wales will have targeted this game as a very getable three points.

Over reaction? You think were over reacting after the last 2 home results? And its more than a few holes mate, theres more holes in our defence than sieve. A really big, holey sieve.Agreed its over reaction sometimes. We've a few holes in our defence that need sorting, thats the gist of it; no more than that but might need some hard decisions.

Just trying to get the balance right between objective criticism and slagging off players.

There wasnt really any slagging off going on though, was just a question. And one he didnt even believe it himself. At the moment though theres a few players out there who do deserve to be slagged off.Just trying to get the balance right between objective criticism and slagging off players.

A few holes????? Seriously, the whole left hand side of our defence is like a pedestrian crossing to our try line. on another note,i was wrong to question mattys injury, and hopefully he is fit and ready to go on sunday.
