OK, I know this has probably been covered before, but can somebody explain why it's not OK to have a draw after 80 minutes, but it's OK after 10 minutes of extra time? Friday's game made for great drama and was one of the better games this season, but if a league match ends in a draw then they should leave it at that. Extra time should be saved for the play offs - when you need to have a winner.

Now you mention it logic says you accept a draw or if you can't accept that and must have a winner you play 'first to score in extra time wins' with unlimited time.
Given what that second option might mean I'd rather have the draw after 80 mins.

Today's Tigers v Knights game produced the second tied game after 80 minutes.
The extra time played did this time produce a winner when Robbie Farah kicked a field goal just into the second half of extra time.
Knights were sickened as they'd performed well and were tantalisingly close to victory.

Again, a draw would've been a fair result today.

Just don't get it. What's wrong with a draw ?
