Whats wrong with the motivation?
Gave Swinton a hell of a scare last week, and by all accounts could have won. Then today.... WTF!
Didn't go today cos I'm not motivated to travel so far to see us get tonked. Will I be motivated to travel to our next home game? I doubt it.
Hamilton's shoestring budget is making us a laughing stock. Something has to change.

And what would that solve exactly? You are clearly expecting far too much, should just keep quiet and be grateful to CH for the fact that we still have a club at all - no matter how badly the side is struggling in the third division. In fact, I'm pretty sure its your fault as a spectator, or Rugby Oldham's, or the Council, or Latics or the Inland Revenue, so don't you dare pick on CH's mate.

i dont think getting rid of benson is a solution but i also dont think after one and a half seasons of making a turnover that keeping quiet and not questioning the current situation is the solution to help stop the club potentially losing fans and sliding into a rut

OMG! Don't you get it CH is the problem. He continues to just about keep the club afloat, so he can pay himself a big fat salary.
Many of the fans who have left have done so because of the way he runs the club. If he cared one jot, he'd just go.
If it rains for the next home game, I will be shocked if 400 turn up. What will the clubs future look like then?

HA HA! Sorry. Didn't know which side of the fence you were on.
It's a crying shame that Bill Quinn didn't just buy him out totally.
What kind of shape are Rugby Oldham in financially?
Maybe we should all just boycott the place and wait for it to fold, then maybe more folk would get behind a club run sensibly through Rugby Oldham???
Thoughts please....

after reading the last rugby oldham newsletter they sound as dissapointed as people on here with the current stalemate off the field, i don't think there is much can be done by them as their hands are tied unless ch plays ball.
boycotts are hard to enforce and the lads on the pitch deserve support but blindly turning up out of loyalty if nothing changes is a big ask, it was mentioned in another thread what is there actually to buy for a potential investor, just a name to operate under..

The fact that there is a fence just about sums up the problem BR. Would you give up a centrally funded salary (which effectively funds your business like a charity) is the present climate - can't blame CH for that. Rugby Oldham couldn't buy out the club without a consortium of investors. In my opinion they would need to change their position in order to do so. All they appear to have done to date is support the club, i.e. sponsor the reserves, offer to help fund stadium development etc. I can't comment on how sensibly the club is run at present as we just don't know. I certainly remember CH stating that having Whitebank would allow the club to run on a solvent basis but your guess is as good as mine. However, given past previous management I obviously have some reservations. Perhaps the only way to force a decision is to boycott but could you live with yourself?

Its getting close to being untenable for TB now. The players clearly didn't want to play today(aside from Heaton,Robinson and M.Roden)and were an absolute disgrace. No more away trips for me.
Roden and Forber are appalling and I can't believe we let Diveney go for these two. Neil has been an excellent servant but its time to go.
Boycotts don't work. The best we can hope for is to crawl to the end of the season, sneak into the play offs and then go out at the first hurdle. We won't be going up no matrter how many clubs the RFL want in the Championship.

Didn't go to the match today however just listening to the comments on the radio,Oldham's performance was 'dire'
and in relation to that I would like to propose the following :
1. Justy what position did Carl Forber actually play (if he did) didn't hear any mention of him.
2. Why so many injuries again? i.e Roden, Bently, Heaton to name but three!!
3. Do we have a player revolt on our hands if so why? Is that the fault of TB or CH or both.

Think he played Scrum Half, although that could be open to debate.Didn't go to the match today however just listening to the comments on the radio,Oldham's performance was 'dire'

From what I could see from where I was (behind the sticks, just on the dugout side), Heaton may have bruised his ribs or worse, as he was definitely winded when Adam Scott landed on him just before our 3rd try. Neil Roden was led off looking pretty groggy, and I can recall the doctor saying to him that it wasn't safe for him to continue, as he was concussed, and didn't want him to make it any worse. I can't recall any other injuries, but then again, I was too busy trying to take pictures for a large portion of the game.2. Why so many injuries again? i.e Roden, Bently, Heaton to name but three!!

make no mistakes about it..that ORLFC is that is where the buck stops! has continually kept cards close to chest about the facts and figures of this once great club, that also has been choice regardless of the plain fact that the cloak and dagger mode does NOT instill confidence, I do not see a rosy future ahead whilst continues to hold ORLFC in the palm of hand...but be clear about it ORLFC are stuck with like it or not because few people in their right mind would invest in a club with a track record like oldhams and for the last 14 years that has been largely responsibility and down to business model which is hard to conceive due to being a ONE MAN BAND!
What is needed is a once and for all GET IT ALL OUT INTO THE OPEN revelatory outpouring from the owner, leader, accountant, scout and all round mr oldham rugby league himself...
hasnt got the BALLS for it! IN my own opinion!
Saints edit this if you care to But mark my words someone needs to call to give an account!

well ladies and gents not bad so far lol but OMG chris hamilton just wont leave so the nextthing is to change the coaching of the players , there is totally obviously a change needed in coaching regimes and ideas , its the same rugby game after game , nothing changes unless the opposition (swinton match ) forget how we play lol every team in this division knows how we play coz you can hear the players callin calls for plays then we stuff it up !!!

All we can hope for is that the Inland Revenue knock on the door again and Hamilton can't pay the bill.
The club goes into receivership and folds and then someone steps in. I feel there are people out there
who believe in Oldham and will invest. But it won't happen until Hamilton goes.
Sadly, he won't and will be the last one out who turns the light off.

If we fold, the RFL don't have to let us back in!
Ain't it funny how you think you're gonna be OK
Till you remember things are never gonna be the same again?
Ain't it crazy how you think you've got your whole life planned
Just to find that it was never ever in your hands?
