About time the RFL showed some bollock5, why do the Australians get to have all teh right people in all the right places?

I presume that seeing as the clubs are not keen for their players to play international football in 2012 they won't be playing SOO either?http://stevemascord.com/2011/06/06/rfl-stages-international-federation-walk-out/

Exactly! Aussie RL administrator logic.

Colin Love indeed was rightly criticised in Australia over his private company's involvement in RLWC promotions and his personal role on the SCG Trust, which was allocated matches ahead of the Olympic Stadium.

To add to that list, RLWC radio broadcast rights in Australia went to the Maquarie Radio Network (2GB and affiliates) over Fairfax Radio (2UE and affiliates) despite the latter offering to broadcast all games and pay more money. It was a real boys club affair and the profit that it made should not overshadow the problems above.
In any event, the answer to problems like the above where Love was involved is not to prevent those from any host country from heading the RLIF. The answer to that is to declare your personal interests, put contracts out to tender and so on.
So while the Aussie's solution was a bit inappropriate, Carter was legitimately voted in as Chairman and the RFL look silly by walking out. Thankfully, the media reports that Gallop and Lewis among others sorted it out and things are OK.
