Spelly, didn't Gateshead beat the Lions at Moor Lane, the season we played there when Roey was coaching

Mike,i may be wrong,but as I remember it Ritchie Barnett went the length of the Moor Lane pitch and scored a fabulous try which should have won the match for Gateshead however it was disallowed,for no apparent good reason, and we hung on to win. Ive had a look for my yearbook but it appears to be missing for that season.

Yes I think Cainey is right and im sure I read somewhere that Jonny Wilkinsons brother was in the Gateshead team that day.

Perhaps my wording was a little ambiguous, but when I mentioned their duck, but I was referring to this season in the league!
I know Gateshead have beaten us before, and (so Piggy told me) they are the only club in our history to put 50+ past us home and away in the same season!
