Personally I can't see you beating us, given the fact that you can't play a full game and we've turned you over twice in the last five mins. Still if you did manage to beat us it'd be shame to miss it

Getting posters out there in as many places as possible, the local co-ops are advertising it,there's a facebook page, the website, hopefully the local media will start building it up already been mentioned in the local paper.Out of interest, what is being done to promote the game in the Rochdale area?
Its a crucial match between two evenly matched teams when one mistake could win or loose it, both teams are up there and we have already had two cracking games this season so try and get down if you can, a great game of rugby league and helping a worthwhile charity Mencap at the same time all for a fiver cant be bad.

Given that there's only three point between us it would be a shame to miss such a pivotal game, especially since many of you will get in with no charge to your selves. See you on Sunday.

Not sure how they are doing it,remember a while back think it was the year you got promotion and in the play offs you brought down about 3000 what an atmosphere that was.

1993 - what a time it was to be a Town fan. It was the semi-final to get to Old Trafford and we won 30 - 16. We lost at Old Trafford to Fev (a division above us) but the following year we went back again and beat London Crusaders in the final. We also played Rochdale in the first play-off round that year at Workington and won 50 - 6. Oh, happy days.

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
