Three players will appear before the Disciplinary Committee next Tuesday following their involvement in a heated brawl during the Workington v Gateshead match last weekend.

Cheers mate, so only Miller for us to worry about. Hope that Gateshead nutter gets a good ban, if only for the dogs abuse he gave the ref. Not in our game please.

I think dawesy done well enough to warrant a start anyhow, so gus will come in for Elliot if banned, hopefully not because he was on fire last week, and his pace will trouble the jambos. They will be gutted though, they were all hoping we would have 5 or 6 banned

On skim reading the 10 page disciplinary guide lines
Gradings run from A very little to F pwopa nawty
Grade C if found guilty normally results in a 2/3 match ban, but they do take into account previous record etc etc, so probably get two if not been previously in front of them.

The sad thing is that Miller could get as many match ban as Mitchell Stephens who was the instigator of the second melee when he ran back on and attacked Dawes. He can get 1 - 2 matches for foul and abusive language and 2 - 3 matches the same as Miller for punching after being sent off. Seeing as how the officials mistakenly sent Stephens off in the first place that could be held as mitigating circumstances and the penalty reduced to the lowest figures. The tribunal can though give bigger bans as the numbers quoted are just guidelines.

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Someone posted that a Thunder director had said after the match that Mitchell Stephens wouldn't play again for Thunder after his disgraceful behaviour. Guess what? He's playing today for Thunder against Doncaster!!!!

So he gets to play in their next game because its a week after, yet we lose Miller probably for our next game because its a fortnight after. Thats fair.Someone posted that a Thunder director had said after the match that Mitchell Stephens wouldn't play again for Thunder after his disgraceful behaviour. Guess what? He's playing today for Thunder against Doncaster!!!!

Come on, the opposition player obviously fell awkwardly and his ear just happened to land between Mitchell Stevens teeth. No harm done.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?
