Matthew Elliott has gone from the Panthers, with Steve Georgallis taking over as caretaker. Michael Jennings has been fined $10,000 for drinking while in rehab, and Daine Laurie has been sacked.

Yes, first it was Elliott had quit, then later the story changed saying he had agreed to Gould's request to stand down immediately.
Of course we don't know the financial arrangement and what terms Matt will get. From the outside it does seem that a hatchet job has been done on Elliott.
