Just read about how Sheffield Seagulls have turned in a profit of 8278 pounds for this year. With virtually no fan base, a foreign legion for a team and no glory whatsoever you have to ask how do they do it ?? Chairman Ian Swire comments "The directors are pleased that a small profit had been achieved during the year. The quality of the clubs grassroots development programmes allowed the club to be successful in attracting sponsorship and individual donations which assisted the club". Well done to them, wish we could say the same !!!

Just a thought - simple business planning and positive engagement with your customer base(spectators and sponsors)? I'm sure the Sheffield fans are delighted - not just with the profit but actually being communicated with!!

It also helps if your chief exec is also the head coach, saving one wage packet, and also if this person is drawing considerably less money than our own glorious leader.
