Well if you call a 5 game ban at this time of the season massive.
He and his reps didn't get his dangerous throw charge downgraded so he ended up getting a bigger punishment by contesting it.
Have you seen the incident very early on in the game against Broncos on Friday night.
Is this decision consistent with other decisions on similar incidents recently?
Dave Taylor isn't a saint. He already had points coming forward on to this charge.
Still given Bunnies injury situation this decision is as welcome to them as a dog in a game of skittles.
QLD can't be too pleased either.

By way of information:
NRL.com:
The offence David has been charged with carries a base penalty of 325 points which equates to 3 missed games, and 25 carry-over points. David’s penalty however has been compounded by the fact that he has been charged for a similar prior offence in the past two years (which adds 50% loading), and as well has been charged for a non-similar prior offence in the past two years (which adds 20% loading).

At least they are getting Matt King to join them.

Catch 22 at the bunnies next season
They already have a gun they misuse in Inglis & now King
Their squad has spent so long under Lang,(aka the fossil) that it will take a LONG time for them to un-learn & come to grips with the totally professional approach Madge will bring.
BTW I think considering the conditions in Perth Taylor was hard done by.

I've been looking to try and find a word that describes Mr Lang and I think you've helped me out there BR
I'm sure there are other words!

I think Bunnies are going in the right way for their future. Whether the new players will blend and performances will match their aspitrations is another thing.
Maguire got quickly into the swing of things at Wigan. He's going to quite as good a position in the NRL as he did in SL though, relatively speaking.

I don't think it will tbh. Madge came in at Wigan last year, set his stall out there and then and basically said: 'my way or the highway' - and they won the SL!
They'll need a new 7 to replace Chrissy Sandow, and I think Isaac Luke is off-contract this season too - but of course, I hope he stays being a fan of the Bunnies.

I think Isaac Luke has re-signed for the Bunnies, but because there's a dispute between the player and his manager, the NRL can't register the contract. But he has agreed to re sign til 2015.I don't think it will tbh. Madge came in at Wigan last year, set his stall out there and then and basically said: 'my way or the highway' - and they won the SL!

Of their current halves, Bunnies chose to re-sign John Sutton for 2012 while allowing Chris Sandow to leave at the end of 2011. Right move?

Cheers, Thirteenthman.
G Las D, only time will tell. Sandow is the quicker of the two who is more likely to find a gap or break away from the line. Sutton, for me a very big '6', is technically very good and I reckon is best used feeding players and taking them around.

Bunnies sold Sandow at a time when he was enjoying a purple patch of form while their decision was probably made on a longer term view of their contributions to the team.
When they announced Sandow to be allowed to leave while re-signing Sutton the media questioned the sense of it.
If Bunnies have any ambition, and they do, then they have to make changes because even with both Suitton and Sandow they are not exactly setting the comp on fire.
