Could of easily won this game but with silly penalties, mistakes and complecancy. ect we lost.
Pretty much somes up our season.
We lack organisation in 6 7 9 which is why we are losing games. Gleeson is useless he provides no attacking threat whatsoever and doesn't even get the ball out from dummy half as quickly as Mossop and Campbell. We brought Campbell on for about 10 minutes and our forwards were quite simply dominating them and which is why we went ahead. Every single one of sheffields plays involved that number 6, someone should of just kept an eye on him and when he was about to get the ball someone should step out and smash him, instead we gave him time and space to twinkle about and find a gap and he punished us.
It wasn't a poor performance but it wasn't great, hope blackwood is ok and recovers quick. Next week is a must win game.

I also think there is a major problem with our defensive line in that we are very slow to move up in the middle giving the opposition the chance to get a roll on.
Overall I didnt think we were that bad tonight, good try line defence to keep them out for repeated sets.

What was up with Mcnally...called up by giants, injured or dropped ? he was our best back against Fev ?

sounded like the effort was there tonight, Sheffield were camped on our line for quite a while and we tackled very well?
how did it look on the tv ?
Same reason we got beat by Fev, Complecancy, Errors and Penalites. Effort was there which is good. If we cut out errors and mistakes in the play offs we can easily get to the grand final.
Look at our results against the top 4 apart from Fev away.
Leigh - 32-36 & 24-26
Fev - 12-48 & 28-36
Batley- 22-30 & 6-10
Shef - 26-30 & not played
All apart from one have been within 8 points. If we just cut out silly mistakes and took our chances we would of won these games. If we get in the play offs I still have hope.

How many times have we thrown games away from winning positions, we've no chance of finishing in the top 4 now I'm afraid and are in real danger of not making the play off's at all. 8 defeats from 14 games simply isn't good enough we are the bonus points kings of this league.
The defence overall this season has been appalling esp out wide, you can't win rugby matches conceding that many tries coupled with too many penalties are too many unforced errors, I still expect us to make the play off's but from 5 or 6 we're just making up the numbers as it is almost impossible to reach the grand final from those positions.

The fact is Barrow lack the final killer punch and are not good enough. To lose a game after being in the lead so near the end of the match is criminal.
If Halifax keep picking up points we will end up 7th in the league.
