This is one of the most anticipated clashes in the history of the series.

Darren Lockyer's farewell Origin game.

Ricky Stuart is keeping his final squad a secret until one hour before the match.

Rumours are being spread that star centre Michael Jennings, although fully recovered from injury, will be left out of the side because of lack of match fitness!

This might make it difficult for spectators to use their program to identify who is playing.

We have been through this before. UK and European fans regard SOO as part of general rugby league culture, and a must view. We have had SOO on this forum before with obvious approval of the mods.

In a dream world... Darren Lockyer to slot over a last minute drop goal to snatch the series for Queensland

As for my actual prediction though I'll go for a Queensland win by 2-6 points, but regardless of the result I won't be dissapointed providing it's as exciting as the rest of this series has been.

I love watching test match trials.

You never get quite the same quality, but the players do try hard.

Trial game?? But they just had the national anthem, sung by the cast of Hairspray. Makes me proud to an Aussie.
You just don't hear the word "girthed" often enough these days.

Blues getting mullered. Just overwhelmed and have barely seen the ball. Pearce greatest halfback in the nrl? Might want to learn how to kick the ball. Maroons by plenty.

Dozey play from Minichello, so much for him being the man to turn it all around for them. Queensland are magnificent today.

Phew! If the Blues get back to even make the result close, it'd be a miracle. Queensland are swarming them all over the pitch.

And, almost immediately, NSW score a brace. So what do I know?*
