Did anyone else get a £60 parking charge notice for using the now closed down Focus car park for the Haven match?

If so have you or are you paying it?

I sent in an unsuccessful appeal grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

If the parking fine was given to you by the council then pay it; otherwise tear it up and forget about it. They'll huff and puff about taking you to court but they never will. £60 "fines" aren't legally enforceable unless issued by the local council.

Isn't aldi and Iceland shut on Sunday ffs that's shocking...I've seen it on the haven board that when people get tickets on there they just ignore the letters and they go away in the end because its to costly to take to court as there is no proof who was driving the car...that is unless you come on a forum and tell everybody...
go **** yasell ya little **** gain NL1 then take ya **** out ya dads **** then speak proper rugby talk. you jameating little spotty ****...itchy waa waa 2008...

I parked on there but no fine has arrived .
Do not pay it. Its classed as a invoice NOT a fine. Only way they can get it is to take you to Small claims court and then prove its a justified charge for two hours parking. Word on the net is that no one has ever been taken to court over these fines. Just need you to test this out for us!!

I got a ticket at the Xmas game. Like has already been said, do not reply it is only an invoice. I have had about 7 letters and am still waiting for my summons that will never come. The advice on the net is to ignore them, if you have contacted them never admit you were the driver, and don't reply to anymore letters.
They prey on the people who pay right away, but it isn't worth their time to go through court as legally they firstly have to prove who was driving, and secondly can't prove you saw the signs. They are on very shaky ground legally. There are forums online if you Google it.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

As Bearintown says all you have been given is an invoice for £60 for parking. Unlike a Road Traffic Act offence the owner of the car does not have to say who the driver of the car was at the time and the parking company have to prove who the driver was. If they can do that then the only way they can enforce the payment is to apply to a Small Claims courtwhere not only do they have to prove who the driver was at the time of the offence but that £60 was a reasonable cost for parking. Very few, if any, actually get this far though.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Yeah basically the law looks at that you owe them for whatever the commercial rate for parking would be. As £60 for a couple of hours would be steep even for central London let alone West Cumbria, they've got no chance. The worst that could happen is that the judge might decide that you owe them a £5.

My missus is in the habit of parking where she ought not and it goes away eventually though you might get about 20 letters each getting progressively more threatening. "You now owe us £500" kind of letters but they will never actually take you to court.

My mate got one vic, I was with him and didn't see any warning signs regarding time limits. He has no intention of paying and I would suggest you don't either.
