E-mail this to a friendPrintable version The Rugby Football League has charged two Cumbrian players and cautioned three others following a review of last weekend's matches.

Workington's Mark Ostrum has been charged for elbowing an opponent during his side's 45-20 defeat by Rochdale.

A deliberate trip in his side's 34-14 victory over South Wales earned Whiteaven's Tyrone Dalton a charge.

Rory McGoff and Gary Broadbent from Workington  , and Barrow Raiders' Michael Knowles were cautioned.

The NRC final wasn't mentioned at all on BBC teletext neither was there any mention on RC sports news this morning. When is our sport ever going to get more publicity. RC is giving a full results service of football friendlies but RL pre season matches were hardly mentioned.

It should have been on teletext etc but the trouble is R.C. and all other regional programming and media, only reports on its own region, otherwise we would be inundated with sports news we were not interested in.
Having said that, with Cumbria having a big RL community and the NR cup a major tournament it should have been mentioned.
Once again it is typical of the poor coverage our sport receives partly to do with the lack of promotion from the rfl and sponsors our game deserves.

The Open golf had full coverage on RC together with some football muppet going for millions from one club to another.
I've received an email from somebody who wrote to RFL on this subject and never even received a reply.
