Thought town played well in the 1st half with holts kicking game controlling the match. Although how carter did not score is beyond me and on a whole was very poor today. 2nd half we dropped to much ball and our goal line defence was a let down. Armi and McKenna were superb and stack was our danger man in attack, and I've given whitehead some stick but he had a much improved game. Overall we done what we had to do and killed the game early on, well done town.

Good effort today against a side that in recent weeks has beaten both Keighley and Oldham, don't be too harsh on Carter, I have seen tries given with a lot less downward pressure that his effort, thought he was good in defence today, at the end of the day a comfortable win, we need to get more troops back for next week, according to Charlo on the radio we where down to our last 17 today.

very good first half performance but had our usual lull in the 2nd half but still overall a good effort. i thought the referee constantly failed to spot the skolars defensive line offside which meant they were nearly always on top of us after the play the ball. poor ref in genral.

If its true and Town have won the race for the signature then its one of the best signings Town have made in recent years because with the talent he has plus his attitude and dedication he will be great for the club

Come on, give us a clue. As for the game, first half was excellent, second half was garbage. MOTM was correct, Armistead was outstanding, gets through a hell of a lot of work. We switched off again though, which is worrying. We do that against better teams and we lose. As for he Jameaters, I wonder if we will get any visits from those pair of numpties who hang around on our boards lately.

It it's who I think it is, then Town have made the best signing of a local young player for many a year.

Can we add his brothers signature as well gilly?
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

I think the ambitions of the lads mean that t'other one will follow at some point but he has problems with a knee injury that will keep him out of rugby altogether for the forseeable future Keith

Just watched the highlights and haven looked as though they were out muscled, especially on 1 of tries the swinton lad carrying palfrey over the line on his back. Cheered me up.

Congrats to Town on a great win :)

We (Haven) deserved to lose, but hopefully we'll bounce back
