I watched the challenge cup on TV, Hull v Leeds, and noticed the excess weight that the referee Steve Ganson appeared to be carrying. I thought that the refs. in super league were full time and as such had to achieve a certain standard of fitness just like the players they are officiating. I also observed that Gansons man management skills require honing as he treats players like naughtly little boys and as such he doesnt deserve the respect of the players and the spectators. Some-one needs to teach him to talk to the players as he would wish to be spoken to but I guess thats what full time training and teaching of refs was supposed to create, well it hasnt rubbed off on Ganson.

Some of the calls he made yesterday were shocking Whinos scored 2 tries and a penalty goal (which put them 8 points clear) that shouldn't have been tries, Lauitti from a Burrow knock on, Abletts 2nd try was from a forward pass from a Jaime Jones off load clearly forward, and the penalty came from a forward pass by Sinny. He is clearly over weight and he is meant to be a fulltime referee. Shocking performance if you ask me and i feel sorry for Hull they have been done big time. Dont get me started on the Jonathan Davies as the commentator rubbish and doesn't know the rules of the game, for instance when Yeoman was forced over the touchline by 3 Leeds defenders Ablett was pulling and that is now not allowed, but Mr Davies was saying "the tackle wasnt complete so he is allowed to pull him" stick to kick and clap ya crank. Sorry rant over Robbo!!!
