Video
Shamelessly nicked from the Border City Blues site on Facebook (copies still available if anyone hasn't got their's yet <_< <_< )

Should be a fair few faces that some of the older members on here recognise, I can remember them & I'm less than 41 for a few weeks yet.

Great footage, Sept 1985, I can remember watching this. "Town" had some great battles with Carlisle.

Bit before my time but was that Gary Nixon, Dave Beck, Harry Beverley , Billy Pattinson and John Beattie? any more?

When i say before my time, i mean i was going to Town matches in my pram but only properly since about 1987.

Christ that takes me back, my uncle used to take me in those times. Was that the season we played Carlisle about 6 times in one tedious season?

That was Jackie Davidson not Kevin Gartland.

The bloke from Millom was Geoff Rea.

Think that was a few years later when we were both in the 8 team division 2 for a season (think you got relegated - was probably Maurice lindsay's fault :))

Was DEFINITELY uncle Mo`s fault.....that was such a horrible season. I remember the last home game against Carlisle and there was about 200 bored people there. Great idea by the RFL.

Does being similar ages rule it out completely in barrow? :)
